| Our client a leading Betting and Gaming Company are looking to recruit a Head of Marketing - Sportsbook for their London / Dublin office with weekly commute to Dublin.
Reporting to the Group Marketing Director
Specific Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Marketing Team, the Head of Sportsbook Marketing will take full ownership of all strategic and operational marketing output for the company web site and phone gambling.
Through continual innovation and exploitation of all areas of the marketing mix, deliver the most effective marketing strategies in the category. .
Report on and assume ultimate responsibility for the core metrics of the online sportsbook channel e.g. customer acquisition, customer lifetime value, call volumes and web traffic and utilisation of budget.
At all times, optimise the customer journey through a thorough understanding of current and potential customers, as well as understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the competitor set.
Leverage third party relationships with the likes of Chelsea FC and The Sun, drive affiliate and pay-per-click revenues, develop direct, on and offline campaigns and at all times leverage the companys brand assets.
In partnership with the operations teams, develop the betting product with a view to optimising the conversion of target customers.
Provide the inspiration and guidance for the team to develop in depth consumer insight and build both the organisational competencies and commercial processes to ensure this lies at the heart of all online sportsbook marketing activities and planning.
Develop cross-sell opportunities and choices to maximise the entertainment value of the companys online offerings.
Use ROI reports and tracking methodologies to gain maximum information about the success of individual campaigns and the overall marketing strategy.
Provide strong strategic and operational leadership, increasing levels of proactive thinking and commercialism in how product/channel strategies are communicated and executed. This role should be a custodian of marketing best practice.
Inspire team members and the wider Marketing Team to innovate and raise the bar in terms of performance.
In addition, play a pivotal role in the wider organisation and contribute to the continued profitable growth.
The Person:
Qualifications & Experience
A Graduate with experience in commercially focussed, B2C organisations focused on sales, marketing and customer retention, with significant online experience. A thorough knowledge and understanding of e-commerce and a passion for growing and developing consumer brands.
Proven track record of achievement across the Marketing function, both above and below the line. Of critical importance is the management of a diverse product portfolio, but also strategy development and implementation, brand positioning, innovation and consumer communication.
Experience of developing and implementing a marketing strategy for a portfolio of products using online and offline initiatives and campaigns.
The ability to work within an entrepreneurial, fast-paced culture and innovative marketing team, but also able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of core processes and principles.
Proven competence in analysing media segmentation, statistical campaign analysis, surveys, business intelligence and monitoring ROI.
Of the calibre to operate and work alongside the Board, making major contributions to group-wide strategic decisions and high level negotiations.
A proven track record of outstanding leadership and management of diverse teams across an organisational matrix.
A passion for sport.
