What do you need to do when temping

Your consultant will provide you with your assignment details. For each assignment you need to: -

  • Be punctual.
  • Dress appropriately.
  • Behave professionally.
  • Adhere to company rules and regulations.
  • Read the Health & Safety Policy.
  • Get your timesheet signed by your line manager / supervisor unless otherwise instructed.

Timesheets

Timesheets are YOUR responsibility. Please therefore ensure that your timesheet is completed clearly, it is signed by the relevant supervisor and it is sent back to us before 9am on Monday of the following week so that we can process your wages on time. We also accept timesheets by post, fax and email. We would encourage you to give us a call to ensure we have received it. Failure to submit your timesheet on time may result in late payment of wages.

Wages

You will receive a payslip and a blank timesheet for future assignments via the post and payment will be lodged directly into your bank account on the Friday of the week following the week you work.Therefore, you will be required to provide us with your bank account details.

Holiday Pay

We are pleased to inform you that all temporary workers are entitled to holiday pay. The rate is 8.33% of your basic hourly rate. As a temporary worker you are entitled to take 4 weeks off per calendar year. Your weekly payslip will illustrate what holiday entitlement you have accrued. You must request holidays from your consultant and give notice of at least twice the length of the period of leave that you wish to take.

Payment Query

If you suspect that your pay is incorrect you should make contact with your consultant. You will need to give your consultant a detailed account of what you think is missing from your salary. Once you have made the consultant aware of the query he / she can then investigate to resolve and will provide you with a timescale as to how long it is going to take.
